Les Miserables

I hate musicals, and I'm tired of seeing trailers for this. Not even my love of Hugh Jackman can get me to go, and I don't even think I'd see it if my very most beloved Gerard Butler was in it. I'd only go if I was trying to decide to eat a bullet and needed that extra boost of depression to get the job done, but since I'm so goshdarn perky and sunny and all, it's not gonna happen.

I got dragged along to see this the other week. My missus and 17yr old daughter were sobbing wrecks by the time it finished, it's fair to say it's not exactly light entertainment! The guy on the door was handing out tissues to people on the way in and again on the way out.
He had a very evil smile on his face for some reason.

I have no interest in seeing this either but I will probably end up watching it on DVD eventually. My wife likes musicals but she doesn't like period pieces so who knows.

Now, Star Trek Into Darkness...May 17th can't come soon enough.

Makes you wonder what he'd been using the tissues for prior to your arrival.

I can't believe that any man who takes such lovely pictures of the English countryside doesn't like musicals.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Sound of Music is a classic, especially the rarely heard fifth verse dedicated to Snowdon, which goes, "The hills are alive with the sound of the RAF helicopter and Willy Windsor dangling from his winch as a family from the Midlands are hanging from Crib Goch in the Boxing Day wind and snow dressed in flip-flops ra-ra skirts and replica football kits with only a can of Coke and a bag of midget gems between them."

Yes of course it's true, I think his name was Les Miserable and he was up there with his wife and kids.

(sorry, I apologise for that one in advance).

Les Miserable, oh my!! Luckily I was wearing my special reinforced comedy girdle otherwise I fear my sides may have split with the force of my guffaws.

Here's Les and his brood being plucked to safety. Probably.
