Happy Birthday David Bowie

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I see he's been to the Ian McCulloch school of lyric writing for this one. According to the NME:

the NME wrote:The chorus goes: "Where are we now? Where are we now? The moment you know, you know you know."

Yup, Unfortunately this is true. Good that he's back, though.

I liked it on first listen, b-side sounds good as well 'Me and Ian McCulloch',

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

My joy at him being back and the anticipation of an album and possible tour far outweighs the feeling of   at the lyrics. The song and vid have a heart-wrenching vulnerability. Sadly can't say that about Mac's offerings of recent decades. MAybe the muse was with him on the other album tracks (trying very hard here ladies and gents!!!) Fingers crossed.

I heard it on radio 2. I didn't know who it was, thought "that's a bit M.O.R.- but class-could be Elvis Costello in his mature phase?" but for middle aged angst Bowie will never beat Ian's "In The Margins."

I think what you meant to say was He was with the muse.

Where are we now sounds a lot like Thursday's Child. Anyone else get that?
Knew it kept reminding me of something ...
