UK tour with James

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

Joint gig my arse, the Bunnymen will be on first and you can put money on them not getting as long as James on stage.
The setlist will probably be the cut down greatest hits set that they routinely trot out at whatever low rent festival they've been playing lately. Bunnymen by numbers.

If they did it at the Phil I'd go.

those are the main criteria (reality and, the other thing you said) when assessing whether to go out with a woman.

You can order tickets before they go on general sale on Friday, for the James/Echo & The Bunnymen tour for April 2013 using the link below.

Just got this info from the EATB mailinglist me thinks it might have been quicker to have posted this via conventional mail . as only 5 pages of comments have been submitted so far.
Saw Beck last weekend,no new material but what an awesome performance,as has been the case seeing him over the years.
The problem with self improvement is knowing when to quit.

Great, cheers for that link - got my ticket sorted. I want to make sure I get the best seat in the house to hear James' rousing rendition of Hocus Pocus. Can't wait.

Poltergeist supporting Focus would be better!

What are they doing acting as a support act, I hardly think that James fans will be converted to Bunny fans or increase sales

Hi,

I'm big James fan and know none of the Bunnymen's songs so far. I'm definitely gonna look for a copy of the Best Of album and maybe even more to get to know some of the songs they might play during their slot. Lighten up, it's not all so bad :)

LOL, don't worry,

a) James fans aren't the youngest anymore either (most are 35+++)

b) to "Sit Down" is not something the band asks to do but a joke the fans played to the band few times, you'd maybe call it a flash-mob these days.

The Bunnymen are "very special guests" which usually means something like "opening act" or "support artist", playing a short to medium lenght set before the "main act":
