James Bond "Skyfall"

I love Daniel Craig and will see anything he's in. I don't care that Heineken shows up to whore itself and that James Bond orders one instead of his usual martini shaken, not stirred. I think this looks fab.

have you seen his turn as alcoholic geordie in 'our friends in the north'. Also featuring a plethora of brit acting giants. or something. no, really.

I have to admit that I have never been a big fan of the Bond movies--but Daniel Craig DOES do a good turn as the titular character. I'll be catching this. Hopefully, there's a scene in which his shirt is off.

I was not aware of this. Hopefully Netflix will have this, and I'm going to check it out now. Thanks for the info

Finally went to see this at the weekend, not bad but doesn't live up to all the hype and hysteria that's been generated by it and it's definitely not as good as Casino Royale. In my opinion of course.

Seems to be one or two reviews like yours - ones that made my mind up to wait until its on ITV, ooh in about two years time no doubt. I think Daniel Craig makes a good Bond and the success of the much superior Bourne films did wonders to revitalise the Bond franchise after the appalling Brosnan stuff, but Skyfall the best ever? Noooo.

He's my favourite Bond, much closer to the Bond of the original books than any of the others I reckon. I did enjoy Skyfall and it's worth going to see it on the big screen I just think I was expecting something extraordinary after all the massive build up it's had whereas it's just a good Bond movie.
My missus thought it was a load of crap with more plot holes than a particularly large colander, still she's a woman what does she know!

Hmm. I liked the Timothy Dalton era, as it was the only time I bothered to go and see a Bond film at the cinema (The Living Daylights). That film and On Her Majesty's Secret Service have probably been the only Bond films I really like and will happily watch again when on TV. Casino Royale was good, if not a bit long winded at times.

The original casino royale with David Niven was boss.

Ha ha, books my arse. I think you're getting confused with videos, they were originally videos, now they're DVDs. Books, heh.

Maybe it was a particularly surreal dream I had? Still, Bond books, there's an opportunity for someone there.

Too late. Somebody called Sebastian Faulks has already done it.
