went to see hooky doing unknown pleasures last night. Brilliant but a bit weird in places. Very dense - the music that is - but at times in some other place, if you know what i mean. I nearly said transcendental, but thought if i read that later even i would think i was a bit of a tosser. Hooky's voice really suited it though was a bit quiet here and there. And two, yes two, bass players - though hooky seemed to use his for moral support for most of the time, but when he did play, well that was where it lifted. did a selection of other JD stuff for the second part - hooky playing the main riff from LWTUA and the place went barmy when they did a bit of new order - ceremopny i think, was a bit pissed by then - at the end. Mrs FC not really convinced by any of it. She unhelpfully pointed out that hooky, as a singer, wouldn't get past the first round on britains got talent, i said to be fair, neither would curtis. And one of the weird things, hooky throwing rock star poses. Though some of these, to the partially sighted, might appear as nazi salutes. v strange. Oh, and peasey on merch. At least i think it was him. never been up close before. Seemed perfect ending coming out of a 'JD' gig into the pouring rain.
Cant vouch for the integrity of this list, lol - never seen this site before:
