Peter Hook:I'm going to fuck over New Order in any way I can

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Come on Porcupine Management are a reputable company.

Peasy's Mac's best mate, and official fag lighter. What does Ian smoke anyway?

Oh, and he's called Ian as well! Which is in no way suggesting that that is the reason him and Pete Byrne got choosen.

More likely the Bunnymen were skint.

went to see hooky doing unknown pleasures last night. Brilliant but a bit weird in places. Very dense - the music that is - but at times in some other place, if you know what i mean. I nearly said transcendental, but thought if i read that later even i would think i was a bit of a tosser. Hooky's voice really suited it though was a bit quiet here and there. And two, yes two, bass players - though hooky seemed to use his for moral support for most of the time, but when he did play, well that was where it lifted. did a selection of other JD stuff for the second part - hooky playing the main riff from LWTUA and the place went barmy when they did a bit of new order - ceremopny i think, was a bit pissed by then - at the end. Mrs FC not really convinced by any of it. She unhelpfully pointed out that hooky, as a singer, wouldn't get past the first round on britains got talent, i said to be fair, neither would curtis. And one of the weird things, hooky throwing rock star poses. Though some of these, to the partially sighted, might appear as nazi salutes. v strange. Oh, and peasey on merch. At least i think it was him. never been up close before. Seemed perfect ending coming out of a 'JD' gig into the pouring rain.

Cant vouch for the integrity of this list, lol - never seen this site before:

Think I'd prefer a t-shirt.

forgot to mention, hooky goes all morrissey at the end, took his shirt off and threw it in the audience. Mrs FC not impressed.

as you can imagine, the music side quite intense but with these odd comedy moments thrown in. Not listened to any JD for a while but the music carried it. and hooky did seem quite moved by the reception. And the end of love will tear us apart and ceremony just a tiotal change of atmosphere (did you see what i did there)...

kevin cummings has a photo book out - on manchester - though you probably could have guessed that. Obv full of stone roses but lots of other mancs popsters inc JD & NO & smiths (http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;0;-1;-1;-1&sku=553254).

There's a stone roses exhibition sponsored by the nme in a shopping centre (mall you americanos) near where i'm working at the mo. Lots of limited edition prints of those iconic roses piccies selling at a grand each. Wont be getting my hard earned cash i can tell you. Also flogging the book at 20 quid a pop. HMV shop next door has it at 7. lol. PLus they have a screen set up with a paint splash all over it a bit like the famous roses one, where you can take your own picture. brilliant. i'm just plucking up courage to stand there i my three piece office attire and pretend to be john squire, or maybe the drummer. Mani looks ill in quite alot of the pictures.

tmpted, but as I said, mrs FC wasn't impressed last time so it might be a 'solo' gig, as it were.
