Had one favourable review in The Guardian if I recall, as much as I recall tracks from the album. I remember Proxy, as everyone hated that, with that awful homemade video that accompanied the single "release". I'd like to punch the person in the nose that said "it will age like fine wine" - sure I read that on an Amazon review. Had some of the tracks on my old computer, which has probably long since been buried in some landfill site somewhere. Seems many many years ago now doesn't it?

yes, we werwe all younger then. when the aliens land and find your hard drive they'll be wondrous about the strange noises the earthlings made. they will bow and fall on their knees in awe when they hear the shroud of turin.

I was more worried, thinking about it, that someone may have picked up the computer, rebuilt it and sent it to an orphanage in Africa. I can imagine the poor little African boy saying (in African obviously) what wonderful music he has found, including a catchy number with the title "Proxy", as well as a number of videos and photos of women doing various things, and we're not talking ironing here. Same on the day when Time Team in the year 4040 excavates the landfill site for archaeological gems from the early 21st Century.

There's an orphanage in Africa for abandoned hard drives?

Yes there is. Here is a picture of one lucky child learning the piano chords to Proxy:

And another, using my old 1990s computer to listen to snippets of Flowers and feel the same enthusiasm I felt back then. Would help if he turned the computer on, or maybe they haven't got electricity out there yet.
