Maybe if he is playing to people who are only there as casual Bunnymen fans (if that is possible to be a casual Bunnymen fan??? ) and they are mainly talking through the set he
feels he needs to play songs that at least they might know as opposed to his solo material
old or new........in the hope they may eventually shut up and listen.....

i think some people just go to gigs without reallly knowing the performer. Went to an elvis costello solo show and a gang of young people (shall we call them that) just chatted amongst themselves for the whole show. tossers. elv ignored them.

Wrexham's Central Station last night, setlist Rescue, Villiers, Stars, Monkeys, Do it Clean, Rust, The Disease, Zimbo, Bedbugs, Waiting for the Man, Seven Seas, Dancing Horses, Killing Moon, NLF, (encore) Sorrow, Lips. Mac seemed in a pretty good mood and Broudie was solid as usual, the sound was great as was the voice and the two Ians play well off each other. Have to say, though, not a single solo track played which seems seriously odd considering the recent reissues and physical release of the new album. Maybe they should perform some of Broudie's songs if they want to mix things up a bit?

Only one fella ejected (for laughing / smiling?) during Zimbo which was a bit odd, song was stopped and played again a couple of songs later.

Great venue and a decent and appreciative crowd, Moon Duo there in a few weeks, £9 a go, happy days.

You got Sorrow !!!! Newcastle was good and Sorrow was on set list but we didn't get it :( but we did get Idolness and Pro Patria Mori

Went to the Coventry show, Kasbah.
First time ever in Coventry and was surprised at the small venue and audience, but the performance was masterful. You have to realise how good this fella is and what a priviledge it is seeing such skilful and inspiring music so intimately without the big-time fuss. "Stars are Stars" was awesome and thanks to whoever upped this to utube. Very much looking forward to seeing the show again at the Leadmill. I hear Mac's no computer lover but to any of his friends, please urge him to play some of these new songs if it works, the album has grown on me all this summer and it is absolutely beautiful.
My daughter, just turned 3yrs, whenever we drive in the car " Daddy, I want Somewhere in my Dreams"........................I nearly always oblige...........

Well done Umberto. Just had a watch on you tube. It's a brilliant version of the song. Macs voice sounds brilliant (not sure about the keks mind).

Maybe not, he seems to know who to pick on. The fella he had removed at Wrexham wasn't exactly the third Klitschko brother.
