I was thinking:

A) what if this show is fucking amazing? doubt it but I'm open to the possibility.

and

B) who is going that we can trust to be objective regarding the performance?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Fucking nobody, I hope. Objective? You know who is objective about the bunnymen? REGULAR PEOPLE who shouldn't be there. I'm irrationally exuberant about the band myself, and I'm assuming the people at the RAH show are as well. Whoever isn't should give up his ticket for someone who is.

I guess what Jack is saying is does anyone have a spare ticket for him?

Hah no, I floated that trial balloon months ago and it went down in flames pretty quick. I've been waiting for a show like that for A LONG time, though.

You all go on without me and have a great time.

well, we all know how the (Will and the rest of the Bunnymen show) will be. It's the (Mac) show we have to worry about. I'm worried and I'm not even going.

Had the (ahem) coca-cola incident not gone down in L.A. I would have gone to check out RAH and actually left the country for the first time, but what can you do?

the coca-cola incident? you do have dark secrets, BF

I've got an RAH ticket and if I go, I vow to be objective. I swear that on a stack of white bibles.

And just for the record, that L.A. show left me underwhelmed. sadly so, because it was my first Bunnymen outing.

My initial reaction was that I just had to get to this gig. On reflection though I'm happy to not be going. I sincerely hope it's a blinder, especially for those travelling a long way, but Mac of late has not been delivering the goods. Last good show I saw was Xmas 2005 and two ropey performances after that made me decide it's time to give it a break from going to see them. Hopefully things can pick up though.

I also think it's unwise of them to relive this moment but maybe there are financial reasons for doing so. Whatever...I do hope they turn it on and make me wish I'd attended.

Just get really really drunk and sing all the songs at the top of your lungs if Mac is having an off night. Everyone always enjoys that. It shows enthusiasm. Yell out songs they have already played too. That's always a charmer.

Oh and welcome Gliese 581, it's always nice to have new people posting. We've had a run of new members lately (not the spam ones) but they don't post. I don't get that.

See, Brian - isome forums make a person register and log in to even read posts. Perhaps the new forum users just aren't used to the freedom.

They're intimidated my by rugged good looks and smoldering personality.

Or something like that.

Every show I've ever attended (and it's been a lot), whether band or solo, some guy has yelled out, "September Song" usually about one third in. Nowadays, I feel like it hasn't been a fully Bunnymen (or EATB for you Jack) experience until this guy has yelled out this request. I wonder if he'll make the trip to RAH.
