Bought tickets for Wrexham (if it happens).

I went factory in Manchester last night. A fab was thrown out but I'm unsure what they did. Here's the setlist.

Rescue. Do it clean. Stars are stars. Monkeys. Villiers terrace. Rust. Disease. Zimbo. Idolness of gods. . Candeland. Bedbugs. Seven seas. Dancing horses. Nothing lasts forever. Killing moon. Cover of sorrow by bowie. Lips like sugar.

There was supposed to be a signing of his lyric books which dozens of people stayed behind for. Sadly for some unknown reason it didn't happen.

Still it was a great gig though. Brodie was in fine form as was Mac. Well worth a trip, in fact I'm going to go the gig in stoke after last night's display.

Yes, hmmm.. Although Mac is entitled to play whatever he likes, obviously, that is ridiculous. 90% Bunnymen songs? Isn't this tour supposed to promote his latest album? And what about the reissues of his other solo albums, an ideal opportunity to play at least something from Mysterio and Slideling? I also wish they could dig out some oddities like Moses and the Mac/Broudie collaboration (Persuasion/The Cape).

Good to hear they are on form, though!

I spoke to Ian Broudie after the Manchester show, muffled some excuse about why Mac didn't come out to sign. There was a load of posters up saying he would, but whatever. at £30 a pop I wasn't that arsed anyway.

Good show but was almost ruined by people talking, which Mac got most angry about at several junctures.
Disappointed it was only old songs..very strange indeed.
It wouldn't work if Mac was a slaphead would it.

Just back from Cov.

Same set as Manchester, except... no Candleland or IOG on the set list I could see, but dropped for some unknown reason.

Impromptu versions of Waiting for the man and The Cutter which Mac said that he'd never even attempted live acoustically, which seemed to be the case as he said "fook me it can be done" after attempting the first verse, then they carrired on.

Left stage after killing moon and did not return which was a bit of a surprise as he seemed in chipper moood.

Could see the set list and Sorrow was up next, so gutted that he didn't do that as it would have been something different at least. Not that bothered about missing another LLS, which was due to be the closer, to be honest.

Small venue and not that full really. How much money can anyone make from a night like that?

Agree it's a bit weird that he's playing almost entirely old Bunnymen stuff. Still was better than sat in with Mrs UB in front of Twat Factor and Casualty.

Strange night.poor venue and about half full....mac was on form but Broudie just stood still for three songs not playing .mac looked thin and a little ill.not sure where his career is going playing Bunnymen songs to tossers talking infront of me...and just walked off at the end....I enjoyed it but not nice seeing him play through pub pa's.his voice was superb though and cutter was fab.

Are these concerts likely to sell out, or can you get tickets a few days before the concert? Or even at the door?

Just got back from a great gig in Ledds last night & I bought tickets on the door. So glad I went Mac & Brudie were on dazzling form. Chatted with people, signed posters and albums. A great, great night.
Brundenell Social Club is a brilliant live venue.
