Go ahead....poke fun of Fox News, but just know that they were the first ones to report on the Fast and Furious gun issue when no other news outlets were touching it. The other thing the main three media outlets falied to mention was that during Olympic coverage, the BBC refused to list Jerusalem as the capital of Israel (which it is), and listed East Jerusalem as the capitol of Palestine (which it's not). Someday we will not have Israel as an ally, which will be the demise of America. Call me crazy, but I'm right. The frothing was done after the opening ceremonies, btw.

Erm... probably... but other countries are probably better known for it now and no doubt better at it too.

kate moss was in there too representing our fashion industry or something. Alternatively you might read into it we're a nation of drug addicts, homos and paedophiles. Thy should have asked hipster for ideas, he could have got something about bad teeth too. But wasn't it supposed to be all about our culture? Thats what I read somewhere. The bit I saw did look like a massive pop concert.

All I know is that Queen's bit made Sir Paul look like he should head for the old folks' home!

Obviously Paul has had some work done but he always looked pretty good. That was the first time I'd seen Paul where he looked pretty frail and his voice was kind of weak. That being said, he still does great for a 70 year old man.

I didn't see Ray, I think this was when the US NBC network showed a new sitcom about a monkey

"Thanks to NBC for depriving me of this!

fuck nbc

I Can't BELIEVE that NBC cut this whole thing including the Who to show Animal Practice. NBC clearly doesn't know much about how much America loved both bands.

RokeandHman

These days nobody is too young to hear great music. I'm 48, and my 10-year-old daughter is a Kinks freak. She was crushed to find out what NBC left out. I wish it could be for her like it was when ABC broadcast the Olympics. Geography lessons, bios on non-medaling underdogs, no beach volleyballers pulling their suits out of their cr@cks. Protecting the old ways from being abused. What more can we do?

Annie Lennox looked like she still couldn't quite believe she'd got the phone call.
