The Bunnymen gave a great performance yesterday at 'Lokerse Feesten'. Mac's voice was clear and strong and he was in a good mood.

Will looks nice with his hair cut short and wearing glasses.

One of the best gigs in long time.

And they played Never Stop and Rust, which i think had never heard before live (i mean, at a concert i attended to). I have a doubt about Never Stop but Rust was a premiere for me (still, it didn't sound too good, Will's melody was too low in the mix).
Otherwise, shame they played before sunset, it was still damn too light at 8PM.

Later on, PIL's set was rather excellent, and what can i say about the Specials afterwards ? It was madness from start to finish, i was at the front among diehard ska fans, i got bruises and ruined my (new) shoes in the frantic dancing.

Mac does sound quite good. Maybe the rest is helping him.

All new gigs should be spread out over a fortnightly basis, maybe even a month, from now on.

It's so weird to me that they are playing shows right now because it doesn't seem like they are even together as a band at the moment. I would've thought Mac would be out supporting his solo album. Cool to see some people enjoying the shows, though.

Wow...that's a lot of lights for a Bunnymen show! Did Mac burst into flames or anything?

They played, like i said before, at 8PM and sun sets just after 9 so they remained in natural light for the whole set, i only started to take a few pics when it got a bit darker.
We hardly see them so clearly these days indeed. For the Brussels Croc/HUH gig earlier this year, they played in almost total darkness, but back then Ian still had the beard.
Last week he didn't. The hair was less grey than i thought too.
I must say that Will played about 10m far from the rest of the band and never got closer nor even glanced in their direction.

Going back to last years Ocean show in Brum Will was just playing on his own.....but they are professional enough just to meet up on stage and play the same set then go home.
