Hello from PledgeMusic

Hello from PledgeMusic,

Ian McCulloch posted a new update for New Solo Album:

The final stages of fulfilment are still in progress and many of you have your items. Unfortunately some of the physical items like T-shirt, CDs and Vinyl are still being manufactured but we are confident they will be back and out to you all very soon.

Due to the continued delay here is a new live track for you all.

Bring On The Dancing Horses performed by Ian McCulloch Live at Union Chapel 12th May 2012 with Strings and back up from Ian Broudie et al. Over Produced and Mixed by Youth

Is the live track any good? That is a tough song to pull off live. Sometimes it just trudges along and doesn't have brightness of the recorded version.

They didn't even do it when I saw them in 87. That and Lips were probably why half the crowd was there.

'many of you have your items'. Anyone had anything as yet? I've had fuck all.

hmmm don't know about that....... surely 100 per cent pledges would have been enough

I think the tour and pledge thingy are separate. I really hope he does something over here. I was disappointed his spring US tour was cancelled. Maybe his next effort could be called "Canceland"

Also, if I were to have any involvement with putting a record out through pledges, I would absolutely overestimate the time it would take to get the product out. That way, when it's finished "before" the expected due date, I'd be seen as a genius. I can't figure out why home improvement guys don't do this as well. Whenever I get an estimate for any work, I double the time frame because I know they're lying.

Scotty does this on Star Trek all the time..."it can't be done in less than 4 hours Captain!"...then he pulls it off in 3 hours and saves the Enterprise. In Star Trek 3: Search For Spock, he admits it. I've adopted this estimate model at my work as well but I don't do the accent.

i voted no, but if the time arrives again i probably will, especially if there is no other alternative. i don't suppose the delays are macs fault, but he is the artist that has chosen to use pledge, at best they come across as pretty inept.it would be nice to think he is putting some pressure on them to get it sorted.
its a good job the download was made available as part of purchasing the CD.

Its strange how the Lyric Book is already available yet pledge have not honoured their orders.

Don't really need it now as I was lucky enough to get a copy after the Union Chapple gig.

I was going to cancel the order, but if and when it turns up it will make a nice present for some lucky person.

I wouldn't think it is Pledge Music's fault as they delivered Will's album perfectly well....
maybe it is something to do with Mac's management changing half way through??
