New Blur Tracks

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

s'alright. blur's al;ways one of those bands where there**** stuff grows on me, or doesn't, so either way takes a while. love coxon's solo stuff and cant' help thinking blur are a band with two complete twats, a brilliant but disturbed guitar player and a better than average drummer. and obviously that shouldn't colour my judgement, but it does. the stuff on weller's new album with coxon on it outstrips the rest by a mile - but it does sound a bit blur-like. Plus theres loads of this 'will they wont they ' bollocks in the music press, and then after a while, yes they do. cant but think its all a bit calculated. even so, not bad. what about you ivy?

**** wow, kok typo alert

I like the first track a lot - doesn't sound like Blur trying to do a Blur song, if you know what I mean. Only distraction is the Beatles piano chord at the end.

The second track I'm still wrapping my head around. I can't decide if I like the tinkly casio keyboard sound on this. Still, it's nice to see a band of old farts step outside their egos to play together again. Albarn could've continued doing Gorillaz forever and Coxon could've continued his solo and guest shots, and maybe they still will, but they got it back together for this (and to sell a boxset), so I guess that counts for something.
