I'd welcome drummond with a cake, but is it art? I'm no expert etc. I'd ask him if he's got a rellie called humphrey - big bloke, could carry lab size argon cylinders on his shoulder when we were studes togeter in the 80s, thus saving the need to search iout a trolley. This i'd explain is not art and not particularly interesting or important but its called a conversation. Nice cake though... etc.
and the fish thing, what a pain in the arse that'd be - cos if youre doing an outline, of a fish, or anything in order to get to where you going, aren't you kind of going to the place where you set off - so he always goes fishing in his back garden then? Or have i missed something there? Seems that still his most famous 'work' is burning a million quid. I'd pick its grim up north myself or even the last train one.... Though to be fair he's not really on my radar.

The comments are much better than the actual article.

i know its a couple of years ago, and this is only (really, 'only', I hear you say) a forum but i really dont remember writing that - and not that I have photographic memory of every post. I did think i'd been hacked fro a moment but the reference to my old mucker humphrey gives it away as true - but i must have been mr grumpy that day. Moi? Even so he comes across as a bloke with too much time on his hands and obviously a need to show off. all that bollocks about why someone needed to burn a load of cash - nobody really cares as far as I know, apart form julian arch drood lord of up his own arse who seems to think it was his cash. He should go back to managing the bunnies. Finish that job, not his blooming art degree. oo, now theres a thought.

I actually got in contact with Bill Drummond, trying to get an interview. This was right after the Noel Burke interview by VT. He politely declined saying that everything that needs to be said as far as his involvement with the Bunnymen has already been said. I thought it was nice enough of him to reply back.

I wonder if he'd give Mac the kick up the arse that he so clearly needs?

which shows hoim as a decent bloke really - recognising the normal bloke asking a question, but put ajourno in front of him and he cant help himself.

'A normal bloke'?, that is the boss of which you are speaking? He is not a normal bloke, he is THE BOSS.

And a white American...just like Jesus.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
