Jesus & Mary Chain, new box set...

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

The Mary Chain's playing a horsetrack in L.A. next month. I don't know whether to laugh or cry ... but I'll be there.

Santa Anita?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

August 2 here.

This vid below shows Jim paying attention to his singing. Good to see. I've seen some live vids where he didn't and it was painful. Hope this is something he plans to do the entire tour - or at least when I see them.

Saw them a couple of weeks ago at the racetrack in Inglewood after the ponies were done for the evening. As Jim himself said, it was the weirdest place he'd ever played ... but that didn't stop them. Fantastic show ... cranked up to 12, Jim relaxed and joking between songs. "Reverence" and "Never Understand" were the highlights. Loud, fast and very cool. The hipster youth standing next to me excitedly chatting about Disneyland didn't know what hit them when JAMC came out, plugged in and launched into "Snakedriver"
