That said the show was IMHO a huge success. In Bluer Skies did an amazing job setting the event up. It was packed from the get with people always outside and waiting to get in. This was the first time in my life I was able to tell a doorman I was on the guest list. Pretty heady stuff! I have the artistic appreciation of a brick but I loved Will's art and I wish to God I had $1500 plus to spend on one. I really like his abstract work without any recognizable forms especially the bright red ones. They reminded me of Silent Hill's "Otherworld". Girlwithnoname and I were introduced to Will by In Bluer Skies and he couldn't have been any more humble, gracious or funny. He was very generous with his time and we in fact excused ourselves because we knew others wanted to speak with him. So we spent the rest of the event having a blast with blinkilite and rusty and doing some people watching. Moby showed up as did Rodney Bingemheimer (sp) of KROQ fame and a few other people I thought I recognized.
So congratulations to Will for a great show and his amazing work and thank you In Bluer Skies, girlwithnoname, rusty and blinkilite for putting up with my dumb ass. I had a great night and totally did not make an ass out of myself when speaking to Will. Mission accomplished.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
