Listened to it a few times and really enjoying it, as Smiffy said very much in the same vein as WAYGDWYL, another album I liked...... Nought earth shattering new on it, but lets be honest was anyone expecting that....

All in all a pretty darn fine album in my opinion..........

I like the music. In fact, I love the "Empty as a House" tune. But imo, he has become Neil Diamond. His voice is weak and it sounds like he's barely making an effort. The lyrics overall are not impressive. WAYGTDWYL is ten times better, but this has that feel. And I wanted to really like it as well. I don't hate it; I'm apathetic, which is worse.

Is there a different US version for this album or something?

I'm thinking "Nap Time" is quite fitting.

I added the "Alternative" tag to Genre in iTunes but I'm thinking "Adult Contemporary" is more appropriate. Also Composer is left blank. Normally I'd just put "Ian McCulloch" and be done with it but I get a sneaking suspicion some of these were co-written with Chris Martin.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I don't know how they do things in Norway, but around here we like to jump right to the bitching. If you don't mind.

This thread reminds me of the one immediately after The Fountain was released, splitting those pretty disappointed with the final product after much expectation (although this time it was bloody obvious what they were going to get), or those who love any output because it's Mac = the lead singer of the Bunnymen, the band they love. All you need now is KOK to chip in, probably in a few days and on a completely separate and new thread.

This is what makes this forum so great. :pop:

From what I understand. Mac was told by his 2 year old, "Daddy Guitar Play" So at least his new manager is better than the old ones.

And he also said that these songs were basically "children's nursery rhymes"

So Black Francis, stop upsetting the children.

It's what the toddlers wanted.
