I don't want an animal at my beck and call--I want to be able to leave out a big bowl of kibbles, plenty of water, and a clean litter box so I can take off on a long weekend without worrying about a dog shitting all over the house.
Dogs are like children--can't leave them alone for a weekend without your house getting trashed.
