The 1970's were alive with psychics, Bermuda Triangle, UFO's, Astrology, Loch Ness Monster, Ghosts, nearly anything occult or paranormal related. It was the glory days of crackpot science. People took a lot of drugs then but i'm sure that was a coincidence.

So that's where my Playboys go
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

There was a fascinating documentary on this afternoon about one of your national parks. It featured a real talking bear (who actually wore a collar, tie and hat) and had, apparently reared another who was similarly dressed. It was very fascinating, especially the water-skiing sections.

When I capture Bigfoot we're gonna make a visit to each and every one of your houses and you will be penetrated by an actual Sasquatch starting with Brian.

I remember that. IIRC, the creatures were obsessed with obtaining foods packed as appropriate for picnicking.

No I will not dress up in a Bigfoot costume.

How could you forget "That's Incredible!" with the dude who was about 7 feet tall and squished himself into a shoebox? My kids buy the "Believe It or Not" book every year...they love that stuff. Ever been to the Ripley's museum in NYC?

I watched all those shows. Occult and paranormal themed media was everywhere then, documentaries, films, music, books. You couldn't avoid it.
