I love it: China doesn't want to remove cave occupants, it wants to give them better caves (THAT will improve their quality of life!).

My daughter (in third grade at the time) had to do some research on Japan, and she was fascinated with their tradition of eating Kentucky Fried Chicken for Christmas dinner. They also have a Santa Claus like person, but theirs is something out of a bad science fiction movie rather than the cuddly, grandfatherly image of Santa.
