After saying to my husband yesterday, "I went to three concerts last year, and now that my Ian McCulloch show was trashed, I don't have anything lined up this year." And he very earnestly said, "You don't want to see Big Time Rush with (my 9 yr. old)?" And I said, "Um, not really, no." and then he proceded to give me a "you-should-go-it-will-make-her-so-happy" speech (and I unsuccessfully gave HIM the "YOU-should-take-her-it-will-make-her-extra-happy speech). I looked online and saw that I didn't have the "It's on a school night" excuse (damn that summer break)! I ended up buying two tickets. My daughter will have the time of her life, and any misery I suffer from going will be trumped by her joy in attending. She doesn't know she's going, but she's been up my ass asking about it for a good two weeks.
