As long as you know you are insane then there won't be any surprises.

Isn't it meant to be the opposite way around? I'm supposed to be unpredictable, but my life is pretty boring at the moment. I just need to get a job, then I'd completely fade into the background, I feel like a pretty grey person.

I read what he said about Will as 'Will said something to me 31 years ago, it was so bad I can actually remember it, and I bet he does too', of course the bad thing was wanting to split royalties between everyone in the band, so all I can see is imagined offence, unless there's something I'm missing - I did say I have my own issues to work through, that might obscure my perception.

It's was just like for a moment his complaint made sense to me, but then it didn't. Also, some other stuff he said, like Pete's death being part of a predestined scheme - I can't be the only one who finds this odd? Has everyone gone New Age on me?

Mac sent me an illustration of how he sees things. I hope it'll help:

Think that should read 100% credit and 0.5% work there.

True, but I was trying to credit someone else's photoshop to my brilliant point-making thread. I suppose someone else could 'shop it for me, and I would take credit.

That interview was horrible. It wasn't rock-n-roll, it wasn't cutting edge, it was just a waste of writing. The mag never should have printed the article. Having said that, I'm glad I read it. Loved the part where Mac said he wasn't bothered about the fans in addition to everything else. I don't think I'm going to be bothered paying for a ticket should I ever see them again live. If I do shell out the cash, I will buy it from someone offloading it or got it for free. Would rather give scalpers the cash knowing the ticket was already accounted for.

Just seen Julian Cope live last October. Even if some say he's a bit off kilter, he was awesome that night and was perfectly in tune to everything. It was a brilliant show. I just read his Head On book again fairly recently and I thought he was plesant in it.

Mgmt can't get a hold of Mac or else he will batter them. I just heard some recent tales from people that have seen him around town and it can't possible last that much longer hence mgmt (use the term loosely) taking on those other "projects." I'm sure they know their days are numbered....well, pretty much with everything.

I feel differently about it being a waste of paper, not because I understand how such a bizarre interview DID get approved by the content editor/s, but I loved reading the questions and seeing the amount of research the journalist did for the interview. A lot of what Mac said really was disheartening, though.

I agree in the end that it wasn't a waste of paper. It saved me 30 or 40 pounds from the pledge thing as well as future spend. We've all read/heard bitter interviews from band members but add in seeing it for yourself in person as well as hearing more from friends......well.... Anyway, your first post was probably right on.

Oh, I think I've missed out the part where you've seen it for yourself. I feel like I understand you more upon rereading, I had to move on from a certain artist after knowing from a good friend (and a great person) what he's like.

And thank you.
