I still love "Candleland" and think his vocals on that track are quite dreamy, and I like the lyrics to "The Flickering Wall." As for songwriting, Mac is older than I am, and I can barely get a grocery list together that makes any sense. Getting a co-writer is a fab idea.

I really liked Candleland,Mysterio was a bit of a moshed up mess with the different (over)producers.Still had some good track-Magical,Drip,Close your eyes,Lover. The version of Vibor Blue with Robin Guthrie is terrible. It was much better live.

Worst Mac song ever...Wassailing in the Night.

I like Faith and Healing from Candleland and Honey Drip, Lover, Lover, Lover and the verses of Damnation (chorus is a bore) and I like Playgrounds and City Parks.

That about sums up my Mac solo interest even though Mac solo remains in the top five best shows I've ever seen.

Go figure.

In My Head, Pomegranate, Magical World, Arthur, She Sings, Kansas and Stake Your Claim all sound like they could have been fairly good Bunnymen songs (to me). I never cared for anything else of his solo stuff, which sounds too much like stuff off the grey album or off WAYGTDWYL?. I tried listening to Candleland and Mysterio a few years back and thought it was generally shite.

I'm thinking live. The studio version is a bit too polite. It was great live though. Roughed up musically and he sang like he meant it and was really hitting the highs at the end showing off.

The Cape, Damnation, Magical World, Heaven's Gate and Lover, Lover, Lover (Indian Dawn Mix) for me and there were some great b-sides for the Candleland singles, which include Toad, Fear of the Known, Everything is Real and Rocket Ship.

I'll fit right in my classic Hollywood good looks. I'm sort of a cross of Steve McQueen and Oliver Hardy.

Hmm. I'm not seeing a resemblance here.

That was the sexiest picture of Oliver Hardy I could find. He and Stan Laurel are looking a little too cozy.

Not seeing it, bf. Sorry.

Since both are dead, I'd suggest making yourself look like someone with a pulse.

Stake Your Claim should've switched places with whatever was the last songs on the last two Bunnymen albums. That closer on Siberia was pretty lame.
