Mark Lanegan

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Anybody like his stuff? Hadn't listened to his material before and bought his new album "Blues Funeral". It's almost like listening to a half-decent Mac solo or Bunnymen album. Bit more bluesy in places, but kind of where I reckon Mac could have gone with a bit of thought.

He's one of my favorites.

Started with Screaming Trees (released 8 albums):

He's also worked with Soulsavers (2 albums):

Blues Funeral is his 7th solo album. This one's from "Whiskey for the Holy Ghost" - featuring Kurt Cobain on guitar and backing vocals. Recorded just before Nirvana performed the track on Unplugged:

Cheers Ivan. I know very little about him other than owning a collaboration with Unkle and then later hearing The Gravedigger's Song that led me to buy the new album. Same gravely 60 Rothmans a day type voice as Mac, but some really cool tunes. I see he's touring in the UK in March...

Sounds like you've got a back catalogue to explore. Enjoy!
