I'd like to post some comments praising Will's solo work and disparaging Mac's (which is uniformly shite btw - fact!) but I'm afraid of Crystal Days posting some zzzzzzz's underneath my post so I'd better not.

You can't argue with the facts.

You're right!

Will's great and his solo stuff is ace.

Mac's a nob and his solo stuff is rather poor.

So there.

Ok, I'm gonna say it.

I loved "Curvature of the Earth".

I don't like this track, "Toy".
Maybe it's not what I expected. Will's description of the project is acoustic, which I'd expect to sound organic and natural. But it seems to me the whole track was loops and overdubs.

There's a short film on the site now with Will's music. Reminds me of the Grind album, great stuff.

Aw crap - I just realized Will decided to make an acoustic album.

What the hell.

Can these guys just go any blander and suckier?

Get a creative drummer and Les. Let them play for an hour or two. Then let Will show up. (Heck, let them even have Stephen Morris if he goes back to jacking himself up with speed.) Or Akiko Matsuura from Big Pink.
Then let Mac show up.

You may finally have a good album.

will
it's a nice change and not as techinically as 'acoustic' as i understand the genre to be. sounds like david lynch goes to spain to make an exotic thriller. i'm looking forward to hearing the rest of it. pledged for the cd along with a couple of other things.

mac
i think mac should've saved some of The Fountain stuff for his solo album. some of it was alright and it was basically a solo project anyway. it sounds like he is struggling on the new tunes.

Three sets??
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
