Toy is fantastic.

It really is absolutely brilliant.

This bodes well for the Bunnymen Album.

If they came up with the idea to do something seperate
as a way to explore their own ideas, very telling
they are releasing it the same way, then
what comes out this Christmas should be a stunner.

Hopefully Mac will care a bit as well.

No it doesn't.
I would really like to be wrong here but historically this has meant nothing in the last 15 years except for a few bright spots on Flowers and Siberia. It will be a collection of Mac's songs and Will will be instructed to add his bits and they will stick an Echo & the Bunnymen name on it. Sorry.

I agree, even though I stay at home. I always put on something to listen to when I'm folding laundry (which literally is endless in my world), cleaning or just a general tidying up. But there's nothing like a good sing along in the car

It's safe to say no one here loves anything and everything just because it's Bunnymen, but I do think Will's solo work is very good. Why not support that if you're into it? Not everyone will like the direction he's taking with this effort, and if you don't like it, why buy it?

I listened to it and it confirmed that my decision to pledge
was a sensible one.

Mac's: Well I am looking forward to the lyric book, what songs will he choose?
And the Live CD.

I think JackT has restored some balance since I wrote that, but at the time it was reading like that particularly from a few posters... Personally, I'm buying it because I rather like the Toy track, instrumental music generally (think this album might be not too dissimilar to something like Remember Remember's The Quickening from last year) and the music genres that he mentions as an influence. Despite also being a full paid up subscriber to the Will Sergeant Appreciation Society, I don't hear anything massively Bunnymen-ish in this track which is probably a good thing and probably influenced my decision to pledge.

You sound like someone on the Bunnymen's Facebook page (scary  )
Purveyor of the 'semi-predictable one-liner (which) embodies the essence of the type of comedic crap we grew to love here. VB is a crazy fool'

Wendy "lovey jiggy cuddle XOXO' s for darling cute Ian" looks like a kid's TV presenter. I bet that avatar isn't even her. In fact, I don't reckon it is a her, I reckon it's a bloke. I believe you have started another thread with a poll wondering why Black Francis has gone all quiet on here all of a sudden. Maybe you have the answer.
