The Walking Dead

Anybody else watching it? I dig it, but then again, I'll watch anything with zombies. Lots of old-school zombie killin' last night.

Yep, I'm watching it. I was hoping the sister would have opened her eyes (right after she died) and started to gnaw on her sister's neck, but I guess the zombie virus doesn't act that fast.

It's moving right along because there's only six episodes this season. I'm glad they didn't drag out his search for the wifey and kid.

Good stuff.

I just got into Walking Dead near the end of the last season and caught up on what I missed over a few weeks. Great series! I thought the new episode last night was great. No spoilers in case people have it waiting on DVR but I must say I was hoping Rick was going to do what he did. That was Trouble with a capital T.

My husband was into this from the very beginning. Even though I'm 42, I am terrified of anything zombie, but I did manage to catch a few episodes during the marathon yesterday. Then we watched the season premier, but I did watch with my eyes covered when I thought a zombie would show up.

Even though I am afraid of zombies, I loved "Zombieland"; it was very funny and didn't have too many zombies. I purchased a shirt with this for myself several months ago. I got the one about the "zombie infestation plan".

I fixed the title of the thread. It said "Waking" not "Walking". It took me since November 2010 to notice that.

Looks as though watching tv shows about zombies has made us "lame brains", as the dude at the bar called them last night. BTW, that guy was in "True Blood" the first season (he played a cajun dude who was killing off the women sleeping with vampires). I didn't notice the typo.

that the thing with andrew lincoln in it? My eldest daughter (she's 21) sent me a text saying she'd bumped into him in a cafe in london and asked him for an autograph 'for her mum. I sent one back saying i bet it made his day. But apparently he was very gracious and nice.

That's the man. Think Walking Dead Season 2 is only being shown here on some obscure satellite channel. Channel 5 is supposed to showing it sometime in or after the spring.

I didn't know the guy who plays Rick was British. Now I'll be listening to his voice for those slip ups on the accent.

I read about his being British when "Fangoria" reported on the show before it aired, and I have to admit, his American dialect is right on the money. I never hear anything that would give away anything other than his southern cop-ness. Many actors on "True Blood" are not American either, and they also play southern folk. I wonder if it's easier to hide a British accent behind a southern one?

He really made his name over here in popular TV series in the mid-1990s and early 2000s that were aimed at 20/30 somethings: This Life and Teachers, but has done other stuff as well. Wise career choice moving to the States, because his acting career was getting so-so here but that's the nature of British TV, not his fault. Good actor.

Lots of people like this show so I don't. I'm hitching my wagon to "The River" and seeing where that takes me.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
