I haven't listened to this album in a while...so I put it on. This album is sooooop underrated. It's fantastic.

not by jackt it isn't. i quite like it too. you dont get alliteration (is that the right word) like pining for the pork of the porcupine very often. Not these days any way. The videos of them in iceland are good too.

i love the run of my white devil, clay and porcupine - and the bit in the middle of porcupine where it kicks off is genius. just saying.

I enjoy the ineffable feeling of deep-seated contentment I feel when listening to Mac's voice in its prime next to sargentian soundscapes...

For me, Heads Will Roll, Ripeness, and Higher Hell is the three-track-sequence that makes Porcupine the king of the bunnymen albums.

The guitar in Heads Will Roll is sublime, but frankly, I enjoy the entire album.

I love this album. Gods will be gods is just mesmerizing. I never hear anyone mention this song, it's in my top 3 all time bunnymen tunes.

It's Mac's vocals that are the bee's knees on this album, every range explored, coupled with the Indian/psychedelic and dark vibe that runs through it. If only there were as capable of producing such great music now they'd be more than a footnote in music history.

I'm with you, going. I have said from the get go that "Gods Will be Gods" and "With a Hip" are my two fave Bunnymen tracks (but I also said that I am not a fan of "The Killing Moon" which always gets the rest of them fired up).
