Anyone watch the follow up to Life On Mars last night? I wasn't too impressed with the first episode, it just looks like a complete rehash of the original thing but with a female copper instead of John Simm.

"Fire up the Quattro!"

I really likes d it and the music was great. OK, it is just a rehash, but its got enough of a new twist to keep me interested. Plus Ive wanted to shag Keeley Hawes ever since Spooks.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

ah keeley keeley keeley, what were mr and mrs hawes thinking, or perhaps they just couldn't spell. at least it wasn't mucky, dirty, cheap at twice the price or high class. there again what were mr and mrs cherry thinking. parents eh. I know.... juvenile.

i thought it was good fun, hard to take too seriously. Soundtrack takes you back a bit. plus i was a stude in london at the time. Young miss cherry (17) gave me strict instructions not to point out what everything meant, what every tune was and just why did they wear clothes like that. fair enough i thought.

Chez.

i know, but i made it last as long as possible and only got a proper job about 10 years ago. i think that may have been a mistake - waiting so long that is.

If last night was anything to go by they're going to shoehorn in every 80's track there is! Even Shaddap You Face was in there.
I just think they've turned the main characters into catchphrase spouting caricatures of themselves, I'll give it another go next week though before I decide if it's crap or not.

I'm developing an obsession with Bolly Knickers...although its suprising how playing Bucks Fizz over the sex scene made it totally non erotic

Mine's fully developed...erm my obsession that is with bolly knickers. That fancy dress outfit......blimey.
Thought last night's was great again.Any programme that makes you laugh out loud five or six times is worth watching. Some great lines last night:
'who is your Mother,Marianne faithful?'
'I had a dog that scratched itself once'
'its like a pasty with its arse hanging out'

Forget the deep meanings just keep the one-liners and crime stories coming.

Down the M62 in Liverpool, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Teardrop Explodes developed the musical style (loud guitars and mouthy seriousness) that U2 would polish and dilute to make the stuff of stadium rock.

I'm not trying to derail this into a bono slagging thread, the quote is from here. http://www.theherald.co.uk/features/fea ... member.php
