With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
You know If I were 10 years younger, 20 lbs lighter, good looking, had all my hair, was smart, funny and not married we could have been something

Greg Oblivian's current band "Reigning Sound" are changing my life right this instant. They've skyrocketed to top ten greatest bands of all time. Better than the almighty Oblivians even.

That second song is giving me the vapors. Seriously.

About to leave in thirty minutes to go see Reigning Sound at the same place where I was hit on by two chicks in one night.
Apparently I lost 7 lbs without trying and will be dressed even cooler tonight so I'm thinking 4-5 chicks hitting on my should be about right.

This could have been the best show I've ever been to. I have never been caught up in the music like I was Friday night. I probably resembled a more subdued Sick4tunez. Greg Oblivian is 40 something southern gentleman who just rocked out for a couple hours. They didn't play "I'm Holding Out" but they played "Drowning" which had the bar moving. A few days later it's hard to piece together my thoughts. It was pretty much a religious experience (helped by the fact every song had organ on it!). They don't get out often but if they're in your neighborhood and have even the slightest fondness for garage/punk/soul/rock/gospel music then these are your guys.
The three opening bands all sucked but one. They were an instrumental surf rock band and they introduced their songs like this:
"This one's a love song. It's called "I'm Not Pulling Out".
"This one goes out to all the fat guys. It's called "Show Me Your Tits".
"This song is about your mom. It's called "I Fucked Her Up the Butt".
As you can imagine the third song went over pretty well with me.
