How much have the bunnymen cost you

Postby King Of Kings » Sat Oct 08, 2011 4:22 pm

Well if use current prices to put things in perspective

Lets see.

The average cost of a ticket is say £25

The average cost of going to a gig (Travel /drink/food/ mechandise) £50

Stay in a Hotel £35 (sometimes)

So we call it £100 a gig

30 Years of seeing Bunnymen(mk1 and mk2) /Mac/Electrafixion x twice a year

= 60 gigs @ £100+ £6000

10 albums (Cassette / vinyl / CD) and 30 singles (12" and 7") + A few compliation / live = Aproximatly £100 items @ Average £7.00= £700

£6000 +£700

I reckon this band has cost me in the region of £7000 over the course of 30 years

Just think of the damage it would have done to your liver and lungs if you'd spent it on booze and fags.

Lots of time. I seem to fill much of my time with many obscure interests including this one.

I like that Jack Doyle quote about his losing his money on "slow horses and fast women"
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

The Bunnymen have cost me a lot of money, but it's all
worth it.

What a great thread! Yes, this band has cost me a bit since 1980 - as members have mentioned, the music, the merchandise, etc.

But, what a lifetime of enjoyment - to put on Crocodiles vinyl now and listen to it, to wear a 25 year old EatB tour shirt and have a stranger comment on it....the list does go on !!

My Bunnymen were getting to be a bit of a pain in the arse so I took them to the woods on the pretence of taking them for a walk and then ran away and left them there, does that make me a bad person?
