All Because of You Days live?

Postby black francis » Fri Oct 28, 2011 2:19 pm

Anyone heard it live? Got a recording of it?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

One time when I was thinking about killing myself I could swear I heard a live version of that song playing faintly, driving me toward sweet oblivion. I couldn't get a recording, though.

I thought I heard All Because Of You Days on the radio the other day, or maybe it was that Drivetime song - no idea - didn't even wait for the vocals to start, but then somebody informed me that it was Coldplay's [insert any Coldplay song title here].

I don't think they ever did it live. Now that I think about it I don't think they ever did any of the songs off this album live except for about 2. Great way to support that album! It would've been cool to hear how some of them sounded live.

In the Margins, Stormy Weather, Scissors in the Sand and Of A Life have all been performed live if I recall. Stormy Weather was at the recent OR full entirety gigs.

Agreed! When I listened to the recording, I told my friend that if I ever see it performed live, I'll be happy.

In The Margins and Stormy Weather were the ones I was thinking of. I forgot about Scissors in the Sand. I didn't know they did Of A Life live, that would be cool to hear. Probably one of my favorites off the album.

In The Margins usually sounds really good live from what the versions I've heard.

I have it and the other tracks on the "Me, I'm All Smiles" CD from 2005. The Shepherd's Bush Empire gig in 2005 that I was going to go to at the time but couldn't due to other stuff as I did actually want to hear some of the tracks off Siberia performed live. Of A Life is slightly faster tempo. But they should have chucked in more songs from that album - were really underplaying it as usual.

That whole gig will also be on the Dancing Horses DVD that was released in 2007. You can get it for six quid from Sainsburys in the UK at least but it seems to be available in the US (Amazon). Haven't got it mind you.

I can only find Scissors in the Sand live from another gig in 2006 on Youpubes...
