Mac's solo album

Postby Malbert » Wed Oct 19, 2011 2:41 pm

According to the Bunnymen website, "Mac will be away for the next six days recording a solo album." It only takes six days to make an album?? I don't want to equate his length of time of making an album to the amount of time juries take when they do their thing with a case buuuuuuut....short = not a good outcome, long = bettter outcome. Catch my drift? On the other hand, I've never made an album so wtf do I know?

I'm thinking the less time Mac has to tinker and pretty up the songs the better. Go in rock out and leave destruction in your wake.

Oh wait that was Candleland.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Wow you can't let me be the one to make that joke? I think we need counseling.

I bet it takes about six days to record the audiobook of one's autobiography.

I wonder if Mac actually gets excited when writing new music these days.

On a side note, I think Guided By Voices recorded one of their albums in like a day. Or maybe that's all of their albums.

Robert Pollard can't park his car without writing and recording an EP.

That's not necessarily a good thing. Mr. Pollard doesn't edit himself very well.

I'm not the biggest GBV fan, I do like them, though, and love their overall approach to recording music. Best way to capture that kind of music, IMO.

Even the blind would have more success comprehending the written version.

Beatles did it. Never did them any harm. If it all goes wrong perhaps the tapes Will get stolen.

The Liverpool Cathedral show last January apparently. That was a special night.

Now that would be good. A Mac solo album, a Mac live album,
and an audiobook of the autobiography, as part of a deluxe package.

Hang on, I feel it's time for another one of those posts again,
that I like to specialise in.
