Can't remember if it was mentioned during the cathedral show. The show which is apparently to be released on disc soon.

Little Sex-crazed Dwarf, Hands Off My Time-Capsule You Cheeky Bastards, Harold & His Wanking Parrot, Fucking Get off your Horse, I’ve seen a Proper Horse’s Knob... the next Mac solo or Bunnymen album is shaping up well. Even though this interview was conducted last year, I'm looking forward to this album with song titles like that.

Harold and his Wanking Parrot? Can you get them at Toys R Us? The kids would love one of those for Christmas.

well he's a writer isn't he, every word hewn from his tortured soul and all that. Plus he probably doesn't have rights and might have to pay for pictures. Interesting drummond quote associated with the ballyhoo collection:

drummond wrote:Notable also for a short, mordant sleevenote by original manager Bill Drummond, for whom the music summons up “memories of lies, deceit, hatred… loss of innocence, missed opportunities… petty rivalry and Pete de Freitas dying.” But also of: “a glory beyond all glories… this golden light shining down on you, bathing you, cleaning all the grime and shit from the dark corners of your soul.

I got a bit of shit on my soul last Sunday, not quite sure if it was dog or horse and it wasn't just on the dark corners of the soul, it was spread under half of one shoe. I just hope it was horse.

What is it with you and animal turds?! First your denim clad knee, now your shoe. WTF?

What was most annoying was the fact that I'd designated myself as turd spotter for the day. We were out in a local forest collecting pinecones, as you do (don't ask) and on leaving the car I immediately spotted a more than plentiful supply of both canine and equine crap. Being self-designated group leader I trudged along (wife and kids following), and on approaching each mound would declare 'dog-shit!' aloud. When we got home the other three pairs of shoes were shit-free but I had managed to bag myself a turd. It may have resulted from a momentary lapse of concentration when we were accosted by a group of individuals with large nets collecting flies (I take it they were studying rather than dining on them) anyway one of them shows what he's collected so far and he reckons he's got four different species (I swear to bloody god the four he had looked exactly the same, and I bet they'd been feasting on the turd I had under my shoe until a few moments before). After a brief warning to my sons that if ever a man came up to them in a forest and asked if they wanted to see his flies to start running, we went home.

So there you are Malbert, you're sorry you asked now aren't you.

I'm not sorry I asked.....I love me some irony. But maybe you should have let me make up the story, like I did with the turd knee.

We meet them as they sit in separate locations around Liverpool.

That could be for any interview

mac wrote:"Emotionally I've grown into that place. I always found melancholia and writing songs was the best way to help with the sadness I've suffered since I was a kid," he says, referencing the creative highs that come from his depressive lows.

"It comes in waves; the waves are getting a bit bigger and longer, but you write great songs out of it.

"Since the Pro album I've written 15 fantastic Bunnymen-sounding songs but more modern. It sounds like Heaven Up Here (Echo and the Bunnymen's second album release din 1981) but now in 2012.

"So I've been pretty prolific this year combined with being emotionally stretched, but it's always a good combination I think."

Albeit something of a double-edged sword, I counter?

"I've always felt that but it seems to work though."

Echo and the Bunnymen's most recent album, 2009's The Fountain, was critically acclaimed, and McCulloch has seemingly carried that form into this new solo album.

Anyone remember this album?
