Stones Roses Reform

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Another pointless NME article...

Reni sent a txt message (I hope that was a text message and not an e-mail)

"Not before 9T will I wear the hat 4 the Roses again"

[However] Reni quit The Stone Roses in March 1995 and was replaced by Robbie Maddix, so what does Reni know?

I reckon the Bunnymen should reform now. Seems to be a market for this chicken in the basket nostalgia stuff... oh, hang on.

The date is in the detail... that's 2009 isn't it? Maybe now Monkey Brown, Squire and co think the basket needs a filling. I believe even Steps are into this chicken in the basket malarkey now. Might be a bit too much though a load of now overweight 30-something women dancing to Tragedy thinking they are 18-19 all again. I blame Mac and Will.

The Greatest comeback since... diarylea cheese triangles. And those make people sick as well.

They are "playing", miming or whatever they do at a load of arenas. Must be confident about getting the punters in for their cheese fest. I reckon Timmy Mallet should reform next. S Club 7 would be nice, but only because of that fit Hannah one who was in the Doctor Who-like show about dinosaurs.

numero uno in the album charts. Probably bought by loads of nostalgic twenty year olds harking back to the happy days of primary school discos.

Bloody hell, number one  I can understand if it was the Spice Girls or Take That, but that is just fucked up.

I bet Obama and Putin are shitting their pants.

Well for all my recent bitterness towards the Bunnymen at least I can say they reformed before the reform bandwagon came to town.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Yeah, but the Bunnymen experience can be a warning to bands wanting to reform as to what can go wrong... becoming a touring nostalgia chicken in the basket fest, a parody of their better selves in their heyday with so-so albums that don't mirror anything that they did before. Got to do it very very carefully.

I reckon they should use this as the strap line for their next tour!
