i live very close to the shite hole that is bedford, it has just gone up a notch in my estimation :wink:

Tonight, in belated honor of the inaugural International IPA Day (August 4), I will be drinking lots of Pliny the Elder, from the Russian River Brewing Company. Can't wait!

I just had Little Sumpin' Wild Ale, which is twice the strength of a normal beer. Whee! I don't think I will be driving anywhere this evening.

went off 'beer' type beer a few years ago so i'm a guinness chap these days, interspersed with cheap polish lager. My mates a real ale type chap and evenings of quaffing rank cloudy 'real' beer are quite awful. Having said that I was in Burton last year and took the opportunity to sample some Burton Ale & Bass which I hadn't had for ages and it was jolly nice. Gave me the squits though. Out of practice I suppose.

My fave beer is Lindemann's kriek, cherry beer. And no, it's not at all as awful as it may sound. Quite good actually.
