Bunnymen at GwylGarddGoll

Quality show last night. Will kindly signed an old programme for me before he went onstage. The Bunnymen were excellent, set-list being as expected with the Nothing Lasts Forever and Lips Like Sugar encore (Ocean Rain seems to be reserved for the Ocean Rain shows these days). Mac was in fine form, very little banter compared to some of the Liverpool shows I've been to in recent years but he seemed to be enjoying it despite the pretty low turnout. I've not seen them play in the open-air before but it was a great experience.
I doubt they've played to an outdoor crowd of this size in a while (maybe we should have got the sheep in!).

Thus far, the only Will-related contact I've had is that he tweeted me once. Woohoo! (Yes, I made the tweet a favorite.)

He posted on my no longer in existence Myspace page once. Said I had great taste in music. One of the great moments in black francis history.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Then he said it was his dream to create American Ftink Music.

Nice interview with Will from this gig. Solo album sounds pretty much done.
