any chance to trade/buy them?

This band deserved lots more attention, in my opinion. Inmense album.

thanks again and still looking for!

cheers!

thanks again!

wow, really wonderful people around here!

My quest began with that blog and those 2 live songs. I couldn't believe how good they were live...there's an unreleased song called Cross wich, oddly, remembers me to Spiritualized (Mike Mooney!).

No live footage from the Tube so far?

Big thank you to all of you again, guys!

I have that Tube appearance somewhere on video. An afternoon in the attic may be required.

The afternoon in the attic was not intended to be an invitation.

Seriously, is that Tube appearance performing 'Balcony Dog' the only known video (I know I'm showing my age) of this band?

We don't use that kind of language around here.

You knock it off or leave.

it's a real shame as the sex gods had a great build up but this was ruined by island refusing to let them record under that name as it was too risque - the band dug their heels in and in the end they capitulated and chose a new name but the momentum was lost [and the scene was rapidly changing].

the name 'sex gods' was a reference to members of the band, leather clad, swanning around a northern english town when a passer by said 'who do you lot think you are? a bunch of sex gods'.

[the name 'balcony dogs' came about as eastie and tim whittaker where living in a high rise flat in london and there was a dog that lived on the balcony of the flat opposite that never left the tiny balcony].

somewhere i have some tapes and live video [poor quality image though] including a gig at the hope and anchor and a great version of 'the cross' by prince given a velvets touch.

andy eastwood is an old mate of mine and he gave me a box of tapes about 10 years ago and i ran a sex gods website that had video and audio content and received very little interest!

i have some recordings of the band in the studio in rockfield [wales] and new orleans - the demos of 'balcony dog' and 'rings of saturn' are better that the album versions and include pete df on drums [because tim whittaker refused to sign a contract].

eastie and co were hanging out at shoom in london during the acid house boom around '87 and recorded some acid house tracks too ['night people' was one].

Cheers for that kamoflange. Apart from the official releases, all I have is a live recording of the Sex Gods and a disc of some DTC stuff as well as the Sex Gods/Balcony Dogs performance on the Tube. What's Andy doing these days, was there any more music after the DTC period (didn't he work with Cope at some point?).

Gutted I missed your website, sounds fascinating.
