The problem with that is the emotion involved and you I don't believe you can get an accurate sense of quality of the vocals. I have the live CD's they produced after shows I've attended where I swore Mac was in amazing vocal form and couldn't wait to play the live CDs and each time I was like "was this the same fucking show I went to?"

That's not to discount what you felt and heard live but at least in my experience it's never the same as reality. And I'm fine with that.

could not agree more,crocs huh are after all 30 years old hardly going to sound the same.if macs voice is fucked ,at least its not as bad as debbie harry's on the evidence of radio 2 on monday.

anyone who was at the cornbury fezzie in oxfordshire a few years ago would realise that her voice is as good as ever, well it was. i might give this a listen if its still available.

i think its still on the bbc i player,it is a bit of a shame hearing heart of glass and atomic sound a bit "karaoke" like the guitar solo at the end of atomic though :lol: still times move on and she is 60+ :eek:

The thing is that a new album would contain songs that suit Mac's voice as it
is now.....and when he sings them live they would sound like his voice is now...

Sinatra might have struggled to sing Crocs/HUH songs the same as Mac did when he was young as he didn't sing songs like that
even when he was young.....

5 out of 6 think the live cd is good.

But if the songs are in a similar vein to the Fountain then it doesn't matter how well they mesh with his voice. Well except for Life of 1000 Crimes. I just can't stay mad at that song.
