U2 At Glastonbury

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

i think he definitely should do that, or that thing where he dangles his hand into the front row just so the front row wallers can touch it as he walks across the stage, dry the sweat from his brow with the knickers that are thrown (you know you want to do it girls, and VB natch) and raise his hands above his head to get us clapping, hold the mic stand like rod stewart, or even freddie mercury, you know with the thin pointy bit pointing upwards, how cool is that, not to mention swing the mic round his head like daltrey. sadly the standing there grooving doesn't seem to work as well as it used to, and the bitching about the lights thing, so 1990s. Also the sarge (who once again seems to have been overlooked in the guitar player magazines '50 most iunfluential solos' list) should do more one handed trilling whilst beckoning the audience with the other, as if to say, get a load of this motherfuckers or even come on then, lets have ya, if you think youre hard enough. They should introduce the band, each of which performs a little solo when their name is called and even let whoever is behind the drums this year do a 15 minute solo so that the rest if the band can go and have a slash, or a ciggie, or in mac's case, a groupie and a glass of gin and lime. Theres alsorts really.........................

Nah, you can keep the sheets to chuck at Bono next time you're eyeing him up from the front row.

it was a good setlist and performance, but the supposed link up with the international space was a bit much!

I enjoyed U2, thought Coldplay were great and Beyoncé was fantastic (although I couldn't take my eyes off her crotch for most of her performance) - I truly have sold my soul to the Devil!

Only watched Coldplay and thought they were pretty ordinary. I really like that Viva La Vida album (have to say I don't think much of the others) but didn't think the performance was anything special. And he looks like bloody George Formby when he plays that acoustic guitar up on his chest.

The US 'girl' band Warpaint were quality, some great guitars.

I'm sure if the Bunnymen could afford to do it, they would- don't forget 'Ocean Rain' is up in space too in the spacemen's music collection.

U2 rocked and nailed it- Bono was impassioned, sang his ass off but fecked it all up with that cringeworthy post-gig interview-always reminded of Paul Weller's take on Bono- "i know you need an ego to be in this game, but that's fucking mental illness"

Of course, you know the reason they started with 5 songs from 'Achtung Baby' and made sure they mentioned the fact post-gig is there is a reissue imminent-cynical bastards!

How about the actual cringeworthy performance? Trying to play Edge's guitar with his feet while lying on his back in the rain - what a nob!

"lend me your face" !!!! class

did they not say they had a wee with ecitement as they were paying at Glastonbury

perhaps they wee'd on stage and the beeb were too emabarassed to show

BONER is a knob !!! He has the same routine all the time ... Larry looks bored !!

When I grow up I want to be Adam Clayton ... he is the coolest member of U2 and acts appropriately for a musician of his age -- I can see him sitting in his fancy house in London after the gig, drinking fine wine listening to opera whilst chuckling to himself as he remembers back to the days he rode Naomi Campbell and thinking "There but for the grace of God go I"
