U2 At Glastonbury

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

The last time I wanted to see U2 live was when "The Joshua Tree" came out... Bono is too much for me now.

Say all you want about Bono being a tosser etc........

You then have to admit he's one hell of a front man, he can certainly work a crowd...

He had me cringing a few times this evening but overall, yeah, you're right.

It pains me to say it but as far as looking as though he's having a good time and enjoying what he's doing he pisses all over Mac who usually (rightly or wrongly) looks like the only reason he's there is because he's getting paid.

been having a bit of a revisit to the old yoo toos since reading that book. And yes i enjoyed it morte than i thought i was going to. the thing i found a bit irritating was the way he struts around so that you can tell he's a bit of a short arse - but what does he care eh?. The other thing was how much of a poser edge seems to have become since last time i saw them (years ago i can tell you, but then he's al;ways called himself, the edge), too important to have a proper microphone and doesn't he use pedals or does his guitar magically do that. Actually its paul whitehouses skit thats done for it most, with his funny little hat. BUt how cool is larry, just sits there and hardly breaks into a sweat. Bgg contrast with mozzas set just before, which was pretty good but relatively dour, one might say. Well I would. And what an easy job boiz boorer's got, play hal;f a dozen chords and stay on the right side of the boss.

i missed the start as it happens, so didn't realise they'd done quite as many from achtung baby, which is being remastered as we speak. lol. Just reading the guardian review. What's this about?

In the encore, after a glittering With or Without You, the sombre Moment of Surrender feels anticlimactic: a big moment for U2's fanbase but not well-known to anyone else.

Bono's self-important strutting about is irritating but at least he isn't rooted to the spot like he's set in concrete, was he wearing his dad's old leather jacket btw, it did seem a tad too big for him!

Interview afterwards "did you like it LArry?"."Well my one criticism was the crowd were too far away and when you start getting a bit,you know (he meant bored)...its hard to keep going".Only honest comment from them.

Cue BBC 2 quickly moving away.Have to say the Edge sounded brilliant.Bono is a cock.Like a fat little hamster in leathers.

Lowlights. How shit are the VAccines?Fuck me.How shit are Biffy wankers? How shit are Radiohead now.

and if larry's getting a bit bored, maybe he should learn a few new things to do with his stcks, apart from stick em up bonos arse that is.

Why else would he spend an evening singing to a room full of middle-aged twats like us?

Would it make a difference to you if he plucked you up from the front row and serenaded you whilst looking deep into your eyes like Mr Hewson does. You're just a big romantic at heart
