Apparently, it's been banned in the UK:

I have never seen the original and have no desire to; I saw the "South Park" Human CentiPad episode and that was enough. I still find it troubling that some movie committee believes that people are too dumb/sensitive/vulnerable etc. to decide for themselves whether or not they want to see a movie. I wholeheartedly disagree with censorship.

I saw the first one, but the banning will make it more popular than if it had a theatrical release. The movie was more disturbing than anything, and of course the 'mad scientist' character was German.
