USB turntable

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

USB turntable

I want to transfer some albums to cd and was looking at USB turntables or something like a turntable to cd all in one. Has anyone done this or have any recommendations for brands? Or have you purchased something that was supposed to be fabulous and it sucked?

Numark is a good brand. This one will go direct to computer or direct to iPod:

CNET is a good resource

I haven't gotten one yet because the final word is always overpriced crap.

A turntable is only as good as its stylus. I don't believe any of these turntables will provide audiophile-quality results. I would recommend getting a mid-range standard turntable with a decent stylus, which you can run through your home audio system. connect from to the headphone jack to the mic input on your computer and record line-in audio using a program like GoldWave. Make sure you keep your levels relatively low, as you can maximize the volume in GoldWave. I would record an entire side into the software, then split the tracks off later.

Just mail your records to Ivan. He'll do it for you.

Well, if you are retarded this isn't a challenge you should really be embarking on.

funny thing is that wasn't even the highly complicated technical solution. Look for vinyl to cd transfer in the yellow pages.

I only RESIDE in Buffalo, withahip; I'm not FROM Buffalo :P
And I'm always up for a challenge, so I will be able to figure it out. And thank you for the links on the goods. And I can see it's time for a dumb blonde joke, so here it goes:

A blonde goes to her doctor complaining that she hurts all over and something is really wrong with her. The doctor says, "Show me where." So the blonde takes her index finger and touches her leg and screams "Ow!", she touches her arm and screams "Ow!", she touches her head and screams "Ow! Doctor, I'm in so much pain!" The doctor says, "Let me take a look....does it hurt when I touch your leg?" and she says "No", the doctor says, "How about when I touch your arm? Does that hurt?" and again she replies, "No." So the doctor tries one more time and asks "Does your head hurt when I touch it?" and she says "No, not at all" And the doctor says, "I know what your problem is: you have a broken finger."

I want to transfer some Arthur Sullivan and Madame Gina Ciaparelli wax cylinders to vinyl before they melt and was looking for a USB Edison Amberola 50 compatible wax cylinder player. I tried Brookstone and Radio Shack at the mall but they laughed at me. Any ideas?

Mr. Brian, if you were a chick, I'd recommend flaunting a pair of fabulous knockers and have a man do it for you. But since you're a dude I suppose it won't work :(
