Love it. My main reason for getting one was to read more. I'm one of those guys who'll ideally have 3-4 books going at the same time - I pick up whichever I'm in the mood for. Kind of tough to lug all that around. The Kindle solved that for me. I've got about 5 or 6 started. If I hear someone talking about a book they like, I'll sample it on the Kindle and take the plunge.

Also, Amazon.com announced last month that they're partnering with 11,000 libraries in the US, so users can "check out" books for free. That's a great piece right there...

Books I'm reading (or re-reading) right now:

High Fidelity - Nick Hornby
Bone In The Throat - Anthony Bourdain
God Hates Us All - "Hank Moody"
Idea Man: A Memoir By The Cofounder of Microsoft - Paul Allen
Obstacles Welcome - Ralph De La Vega
Blood, Bones & Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef - Gabrielle Hamilton

Santa brought me nook color, and I love that thing. It's convenient, lightweight and Ivan has a great point about reading a couple of books at the same time (which I can't do....I will obessively read a book and finish it in two days and then move on). I got a great browser on mine, but since I don't use it for, um, porn, I can't rate it beyond my usage. I just finished reading about Reagan's assassination attempt, and I'm thinking about reading Steven Tyler's book, but not for the download price of $14.99. Talk about being bent over.....I'll get a cheap used copy through amazon.

I was surprised to find out that books can be downloaded from the public library. Has anyone tried doing that?

I've downloaded books from the library; you can keep them for two weeks. It was easy, and I'm not very computer literate. Still trying (unsuccessfully) to download my pic with Will and post it, but I can't seem to do it :(

Shhhhhhh. Don't let people know that not only can Buffalonians read, but they also use the library.

There is an image to keep up.

LOL....yeah, the games do bring out Buffalo's finest :) but nothing compares to crowds that the County Fair attracts. Makes your Bills fan look like a GQ cover shot. And I am not originally from the area so :P

And forget posting that motherforgetting picture of me and Mr. Sergeant! If you really want to see it, PM me with your e-mail. (I am officially computer retarded if it does not involve a) shopping b) e-mailing c) YouTube-ing or d) ebay-ing (which could techincally fall under the (a) category)). I'll be in the fetal position under the covers if you need me........

Did you spit on him?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

lol....no spitting (that time), BF He said "I just spilled something on me shirt before I came out." To which I said "I have a wipe if you need one for clean up." and he said "Brilliant" and wiped his shirt off leaving a spot. Then he asked if I had a dryer and I told him I was "good but not that good" and then we took the photo. Besides, he signed everything I brought, so it would have been rather ballsy of me to spit after that.....and that picture was taken after walking around DC for about 6 hours, so I'm sure I look like the spittin' kind even though I'm not. But maybe I should start? ?
