Seven Seas chords...Help

Postby ALB » Tue May 17, 2011 2:47 pm

Does anyone know the opening chords to seven seas?

I've been trying... Cmaj7, C

Doesn't quite sound right...Although it could be my dodgy guitar playing.

Cheers.

Do you know which member wrote it? When I tried to play I had to reluctantly sing to piece parts together.
Somewhere, though, I heard Will wrote it..but it seems that the bass holds it together. Just seems to me the vocal melody came first....

I play it:

Cmaj7, then Fmaj7 ending the intro on a straight C

then F,G,C for verse

G,C for chorus

ie

- -
- 1
- 2
2 3
3 3
3 -

..works for me--hope you can understand this--I'm shit with chord names!

BTE, the Omnibus press Bunnymen songbook went for 99c on Ebay recently--its not that great anyway, eg no intro for Seven Seas!! but is the only official songbook out there methinks--but look out for it- that was a steal--if it wasnt $25 for P&P to Uk I would have bought another copy and punted it here--its rare as..

Re rest of song--straight from the horses hands..

Thanks for the help earl & hotty.

I'll have a go at playing it again tonight.

I have the 'Echo and the Bunnymen' Warner Bros music book...But it's pretty basic.

Don't think i've seen the Omnibus press songbook...i'll look out for it.

Cheers.
