Read it in Books was not on the original UK release of the album.

Got Warner's yes-man, Rob Dickens to blame for it. He thought he heard profanity on "Books" and "Do It Clean", so he rearranged the tracklisting and removed those two tracks prior to pressing. (Though Warner tried to make up for it by putting them on an accompanying single). Still, somebody should've really punched Rob in the Dickens for that one. Has he not heard of freedom of speech and/or expression? Oh wait, there I go paraphrasing the Bill of Rights again... lack of freedoms is why we escaped limeyland anyway... so bands like MC5 could start off a record with the immortal words, "Kick out the jams, motherfucker!"

I don't think I ever knew this or I read it and forgot. Good band trivia!

Ah yes, 'The Cut and Paste Chronicles'.

A couple of times, last time I heard was at The Crystal Day concert in 1984 don't think they've played it since.....

Mac sometimes sings an odd line or two at his solo shows..............

Being a review obsessive I thought it was awesome to get all those reviews and interview excerpts in one place plus it's about half original content anyways. I love reading what reviewers thought at the time as opposed to the modern day reviews now that it's widely acknowledged the first four albums are all time classics. Sadly I left my copy in a Madison hotel bar when we were called to a shelter during a tornado. I took that fucker everywhere. I hope whoever found it is now an obsessive Bunnymen fan.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
