The “ Love Child” of Paul McCartney has severed his apprentaship (Little Flames, Rascals , Shadow Puppets).
This is a solid, compelling and accomplished piece of work infused with a retro 1960s vibe. Miles has the canny ability to take what has gone before and make it its own. Whilst the tracks sound familiar they are vibrant and refreshing at the same time.
These are ambitious, larger than life songs, which are more suited to James Bond rather than the stadiums or the charts.
The sound is vibrant and crisp and it’s the first CD and ages where I haven’t reach for the “skip” button. This is an exciting collection of songs that will take your breath away. Miles gets under you skin here and you get the feeling that he isn’t going to go quietly away.
In this age of media pop this is refreshing and it quenches the thirst. I hope this CD give Miles the success and spot light he truly deserves.
