The Bloody Meet and Greet Should be Bloody Free

Postby King Of Kings » Sun Mar 27, 2011 8:17 am

Move on you Say.

Well You're probably right , in fact you are right.

But ironically is'nt it you that should move on.

If your prepared to pay £100 for a meet and greet, to a couple of aging hasbins and for a repeat performance of a show that was premirred thee years ago thatwas billed as a as a once in alife time, its you who needs your head tested.

Looks like the bunnymen really do believe in their own myth.

You recently said that you had lost your job and taken a package...... I would suggest you use some of your spare time to take some English classes, might help your spelling and grammer........

Though I agree with you, you probably should've spelled "grammar" correctly.
On the up-side, at least you spelled "spelling" right.

I wish I'd never mentioned it now. I only wanted the bloody merch.

When I first read the thread title, I didn't see the last word "free," which made me think someone wanted a Carrie-esque meet-and-greet:

i dont think they should charge loyal fans to meet them. does that mean they dont want contact with any fan who doesnt pay for the privilege?
it doesnt seem the right way to expand/retain a fanbase

it will be interesting to find out how rewarding an experience this turns out to be.

Why not? I don't see a problem with charging people for a "meet and greet" if it's part of a package. Remember those that are doing that are actually getting a guarantee of front seats as well as Radio 1 roadshow goodie bag. I would have chucked in the soundcheck as it seems that perhaps people buying the VIP ticket - VIB that is - have seen this show before and probably would be quite happy with two back-to-back performances of Ocean Rain on the night. Empty venue and you might have even got some instrumentals in as well:

I'm quite tempted by the bloody free meet and greet with Carrie actually. Imagine the goodie bag, full of blood and stuff. And if you didn't like it, she'd kill you. Great.

But remember you get a Radio 1 roadshow goodie bag as well as having to do the meet and greet. What will be in there? An old Noel Edmunds sweater, a laminated Keith Chegwin, a signed poster of Dave Lee Travis and a rare seven inch vinyl of Tony Blackburn's 1960s Top 40 single "So Much Love". What more could you ask for?

we just need a list of questions to ask and mr brian could publish it as an underhand interview. all chip in a couple of quid and VB gets his money back. sorted.

From what I've heard old Cheggers was permanently laminated for much of the 1980's. And there's no way in hell am I getting anywhere near Tony Blackburn's 7".
