Anyone ever see a ghost?

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

The persons I've seen were not transparent at all. They looked no different than someone who is alive except for their clothing. It wasn't from the present.

My daughter and I have both seen and heard things and had the sensation that someone sat on our hed or there was a crushing force lying on us.

It would be interesting to see if those who believe in UFOs don't believe in ghosts and vice versa.

That's weird cause the one figure I ever saw was a black figure in the shape of a man but the one person I trust to have some ability to see spirits saw them as though they were real. Who knows? The figure I saw was at my uncle's rental home after the Northridge earthquake. I was house sitting their collection of pets alone and I was in bed reading when I looked up and saw a black figure staring at me. We looked at each other for what seemed like 20 minutes but was probably a few seconds and walked or floated backward into the closet. I got a pillow and blanket and slept in the back seat of a 68 Mustang that night. I never told my brothers and I had to house sit a second time but I brought my brother with me and made him share the bed. The weekend went without incident and my other brother house sat the house alone one more time before they moved back into their now repaired home. About two years ago I was having dinner with my brothers and the topic turned to our Uncle's rental home and my youngest brother told me he didn't want to worry me at the time but he saw a black figure standing over me looking down at me while I slept. He said he looked away and looked back and it was gone while my other brother recounted almost verbatim the same experience I had. It was a weird evening hearing validation of my experience because I always had doubts if I really experienced anything at all.

Another time a few friends and I were traipsing through a cemetery like idiots cause we heard it ws haunted. I didn't say anything because I thought it sounded ridiculous but my thumbs were freezing. Again I kept quiet because it sounded as lame then as it does now typing it but the girl I mentioned earlier who I believe when she says she sees things turned and told me that there were two children holding onto my thumbs and she said there were other children with me. For whatever reason kids have always liked me and she said the children in the cemetery were attracted to me. Of all the pictures we took nothing came out and I still have doubts about some of my experiences.

I'm sure it's just coincidence that Derek Faker left the show soon afterwards! How anyone could have been fooled by his preposterously OTT antics is beyond me.

when i was about 17 and went on holiday with my mates to a little flat in the sunny seaside town of scarborough (I know, it should have been ibiza but that didn't exist in the late 1970s). one night I woke up having been sleeping awkwardly with no feeling in my arm (dunno how that happened, we wer all sharing the same room and excessive use of the arm before sleep was banned for the week). anyway some woman just walked through the door - without even knocking, or for that matter opening it. She proceded to walk , or rather glide, around the room, ignoring me and the others, as if she was going about her normal business. modern dress - jeans tee shirt etc. ANywa I woke my mates and they just took the piss - cant hear any chains chez, what about her head chez, and so on, but I could still see her. Rest of the week - much more piss taking until the last night when one of the lads decided to stay in (as you do on the last night of your hols. ANyway I was walking past the flat on the way to the pub a bit later and he comes rushing out saying 'its just happened to me. Though what he described was the 'theres soeone sitting on my chest and I cant move' scenario Will sergeant recently described. Cant remember what thats called now.

Obvously, 30 years on whenever we meet up and reminisce about our (non) conquests of that first week of freedom it always comes back to, what about you chez eh? what was that woman called again? happy days.

I just couldn't believe Derek became possessed EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. I don't know how many times I went to places that were supposed to be haunted and got nothing. Even Ghost Hunters don't always come up with something.

The best though was when some dude was supposedly getting his ass kicked by a spirit and like 15 minutes of ass kicking and it's over and Derek finally comes up and says "It's okay, Sam is protecting us". Thanks for nothing "Sam"

BF-when you say black man, was it the silhouette of a man or an actual black man?

Were you in the Hollywood Forever cemetery?

The day after my dad died I was sleeping and woke up to find an oblong gray balloon-looking thing about 6' long floating across the room. A friend of mine said she saw that same thing when her grandmother died but she told me her story first. Others I've talked to say when they're lying in bed in the dark they see what looks like the bottom of the ocean floating above them with all these plant-like things moving around?

My daughter saw a woman's form but it was all "static electricity" ( how she described it.)
The man and woman I've seen in my old house just stared at me and glided just like Chez said. What I don't get is they come through the door without opening it and disappear. If they can do that, why use a door? Go through the wall or the ceiling.

I enjoyed the one down the mine - Derek getting grabbed by the arm and dragged up a dark tunnel - hilarious.

Evette : (in hushed tones after hearing Derek bang his head on something) "What was that noise?"

Derek : "Don't worry Evie, it was just my helmet!"

Fnarr fnarr ...

It was the silhouette of a man. My younger brother thought he was wearing a hood but I don't remember it that way.

I've been to Hollywood Forever a bunch of times but have never had anything happen there despite its haunted reputation. Have you been there for the Day of the Dead celebrations? We go every year.

Never been, but I'd like to go on the tour. I think it's weird how Forest Lawn cemetery turns into an outdoor movie theatre in the summer and you can rent the cemetery for weddings and birthdays  What THAT the one with the children?

I blame Brian myself for starting all this paranormal stuff. He tricked me into outing myself as a kook. And I haven't even gotten into the good stuff yet.

But now I feel comfortable soliciting opinions on a decent light beer.

I'm having Dunkin Donuts coffee at the moment. I've been deprived for 11 yrs. since I moved here, but now it's in the grocery stores.

no Dunkin' donuts here tho, right?

Maybe ghosts are creatures of habit just like the rest of us ... so how else would you enter a room, but thru the door. Except when you're feeling frisky or REALLY want to freak somebody out ... then walk thru walls

I want to be a ghost when I die. Who says death can't be fun?

So, that Dia de los Muertos celebration at the cemetery is a good one? I've only been to the one in downtown L.A. on Olvera Street.
