only rumour I've heard is that there's going to be actual rain involved. They probably wont need meet and greets if only mrsmac & dave are going.

oh and the site doesn't work from where I am at the moment - all i can say is financial organisation in london closely associated with an up and coming sporting event. oh and IE6. ACtually the last place i worked only supported that version. Listen to me, i sound like a techie.

was thinking about it and finances are looking up at the moment, but dunno. Might be best to leave the albert hall in my memory - from where i was stood it was great, inc sound, never play the live recording any more. Mind you got other expenses due - daughter's 21st coming up, just booked holiday for the present mrs cherry and myself and our collective daughters (five of em, gorden bennet), so maybe I'll pass. Actually I might take a look and see what other decent tours I might go out on instead - wouldn't mind pulp myself if that should occur.

Cant say I have any desire to meet or greet either of the chaps in person, i mean, what are we going to talk about, one a depressed middle aged bloke whose best work and years seem to be behind him, left behind by lesser mortasls who just had better business acument, and the other....., oh well.

Didn't realise you had five daughters. Sounds like a good band name - Fat Cherry and His Five Daughters.

I keep thinking that I ought to go, but I can't see why. I wasn't that enamoured with the Royal Albert Hall performance, and I don't mean that in a kind of god they were shit or they aren't what they used to be (as I have never seen them live like that).

I think that performing Ocean Rain as they would do any gig + an orchestra doesn't do it justice live. Switch to acoustic guitars, brushes on the old drums with Will switching to a lo-fi type amp and suitable guitar from his collection - almost like they are a load of buskers - and then let a full orchestra completely take over - it'd be pretty impressive. Even a rousing orchestral encore of The Cutter, etc would be worth watching. Think OMD with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra minus the synth and happy clapping fans...

I remember he was with a blonde at Radio City as well. Not his daughter. And I don't think she wore glasses.

Well I might as well admit it. I've forked out just shy of £200 for a couple of VIP tickets for Liverpool. I've never been a VIP before, so just for one night I thought sod it.

Too far for you to travel, it will have to be me!! I can't believe I'm actually considering getting a VIP for Liverpool as I got a ticketmaster voucher for my birthday so it wouldn't really be me paying for it!?!

Gullible. Do you want to give me £200 for a meet and greet with me. Hi pleased to meet you. Can I have my money now?

Well at least you won't get punched by Mac or Will.

VB: "Hi I'm Voodoo Billy off Villiers Terrace."
Mac: "What the song, can't remember that in the lyrics?"
VB: "No, the Villiers Terrace forum, you know the one, the one that killed your official forum off."
Mac: "Never heard of it. I don't do computers".
Will: "He's the funny one Mac, loads of sharpwitted gags, not one of our enemies off there."
Mac: "Pleased to meet you"
Voodoo Billy: "Pleased to meet you, let me also introduce my sidekick for this meet and greet... King of Kings."

Fight ensues...

You WOULD have to bring up that I'm several time zones away... *sniff*

If do you decide to use your voucher on the show, have a good time!
